End of a pretty unproductive day. About the only laudable thing I accomplished was truly forgetting about lunch duty, so I managed to miss at least half of it. Yeah me!
Today was one of those interminable "early release day." The name is such a *$#@&%~! lie, because never, NEVER do they release us, the teachers, early. No, what we do on these great days is see all of our classes, albeit for only 35 minutes or so, and then spend the rest of our "workday" at God-forsaken in-services. Lucky me, I got to be the one to actually deliver the in-service to my department today, so that insteading of just planning lessons for my students, I also had to plan a lesson for my colleagues.
The bad thing is that I'm not pulling through to the finish here. I have so much work to do, and it's as if my brain checked out as soon as I left for the holidays last week. I don't want to do anymore work. I don't want to finish teaching Romeo and Juliet
. I don't want to grade any more essays or homework assignments. I don't want to write a final exam or a study guide. I don't wanna, I don't wanna, I don't wanna!
But here's the reality:
Behold my desk in all its glory.
